PETROL STATIONS IN PRIORAT

This is one of the most important pieces of information you will need to know if you are hiring a car and driving to the Priorat region. There are only TWO petrol stations (gas stations) in the whole of the Priorat region. One is in Falset, the capital of the region and the other one is in Cornudella de Montsant, the second biggest town in the Priorat. The opening times of the petrol stations are usually from 6am or 7am to 10pm at night. Sundays included.

Most cars run on green fuel - unleaded petrol. This is known as "sin plomo" in Spanish or "sense plom" in Catalan. Most petrol stations offer either 95 or 97 octane leadfree petrol. Falset petrol station does not put petrol in your car for you. It is self-service on most tanks ( the furthest-most one from the shop, you must pay for in advance and then fill up) and then you go into the shop to pay for what you have put in. Do remember to tell them your tank number.

There are more petrol stations in nearby Reus or Móra d'Ebre.
