PHONING FROM PRIORAT AND INTERNET ACCESStelephone cabin in Spain

The Priorat is not the best-connected region in Spain, to tell the truth. Some hotels and holiday accommodation offer their guests a WI-FI service (Hotel Cal Llop, Hotel Mas Collet and Cal Compte all have WI-FI), but the only public place to connect to the internet is the Falset municipal library which opens most afternoons throughout the year and sometimes Tuesday mornings. Reus and Mora are only a 20 minutes drive from the Priorat and they do have internet cafès.

Most villages, even the smaller ones, have public phones which are owned by the former state company Telefónica and are easily recognisable by their blue corporate colours. All phones take coins and some also take phone cards which can be bought at "tabac" or "Estancos" shops where they generally sell cigarettes. Sometimes electrical goods stores also sell phone cards or "pay-as-you-go" mobile phones which are relatively cheap and may be a better solution.
